Puerto Rican guard Joseph Rivera (190-G-1993) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 31 points he had in the Mexican LNBP. His excellent performance made his team the Abejas edged the Halcones UV Xalapa 88 to 86. He also got 7 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds that game. Among many awards his team was the regular season runner-up in the Mexican LNBP in 2023. Rivera was selected to the Latinbasket Mexican LNBP All Domestic Players Team as well as the All Star Game back in 2019.
