Lewis number one in Mexican LNBP for round 25 (by Hoops Agents)

American Swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-G/F-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Astros de Jalisco, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (28 points, three rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Fuerza Regia (#4, 16-8) 100-88. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Astros maintains the 2nd position in Mexican LNBP. They are still close to the very top. Astros would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 21-3 record. Lewis turned to be Astros' top player in his first season with the team. Former Marist College star has very solid stats this year. Lewis is in league's top in points (4th best: 15.5ppg) and averages impressive 42.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Puerto Rican Joseph Rivera (190-G-1993) of Abejas de Leon. Rivera had a very good evening with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. It was enough for Abejas to edge the higher-ranked Halc.Xalapa (#8, 11-13) 88-86. Abejas' 12th position in the standings has not changed. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Abejas managed to get this year. Rivera is a newcomer at Abejas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Tyrone White (201-G-1990) of Panteras de Aguascalientes (#7). White scored 26 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite White's great performance the Panteras lost 91-97 to the higher-ranked Diablos (#3, 16-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Panteras ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, White could help Panteras to bring them higher in the standings. White has a very solid season. In 22 games in Mexico he scored 11.0ppg.

10. Bryon Allen (192-G-1992) of Gambusinos - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
