American Point guard KJ Feagin (185-PG-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Gambusinos de Fresnillo, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBP Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (18 points, four rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Freseros (#14, 4-24) 84-78. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Gambusinos maintains the 11th position in Mexican LNBP. Gambusinos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-18 record. Feagin turned to be Gambusinos' top player in his first season with the team. KJ Feagin averages this season 12.1ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Puerto Rican Joseph Rivera (190-G-1993) of Abejas de Leon. Rivera had a very good evening with 33 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Abejas lost that game 91-105 to the higher-ranked Astros (#2, 25-3). Abejas is still in a red zone at 13th spot in the standings. 23 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Abejas managed to get this year. Rivera is a newcomer at Abejas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Charles Mitchell (203-F/C-1993) of Dorados de Chihuahua (#6). Mitchell scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Mitchell's great performance the Dorados lost 83-93 to the lower-ranked Santos (#12, 7-21). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Dorados needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 16 victories and 12 lost games. Mitchell has a great season in Mexico. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.2rpg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
