Matamoros Piratas Bagdad (CIBAPac) added to their roster 27-year-old Brazilian center Caio Oliveira (211cm-100kg-1998, agency: Daggers Sports). He played most recently at Gallos de Aguascalientes in the CIBAPac.
During part of last summer, he spent time playing at CD Illaplel Basquetbol (LNB) in the Chilean league. He also played for Ferro Carril Salto (LSB) in the Uruguayan league.
Oliveira is a very experienced player. He has played in Argentina (Estudiantes Olavarria, Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Quimsa), Chile, Portugal (Electrico FC), Uruguay (Salto Uruguay), Brazil (Botafogo, Oliveirabraica, Rio Claro, Ypiranga, and Londrina), and Peru (San Jose).
He has achieved success in various basketball leagues, including winning the Argentinian LDD Regular Season in 2020. In 2023, he was honored with a spot on the Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese Proliga Honorable Mention team.
