Diablos had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Diablos made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian guard Luciano Gonzalez (194-1990) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 6 rebounds. contributed with 11 points and 5 assists for the winners. American guard AJ Banks (188-1997, college: Wyoming) replied with 7 points and 6 assists and guard Ricardo Bustamante (195-1995) added 13 points in the effort for Dorados. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Worth to mention a great performance of Kosovan-American Scott Bamforth (188-1989, college: Weber St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Avry Holmes (185-1994, college: Clemson) who added 23 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Bahamas center Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Joaquin Valinotti (185-1998) scored 14 points. Four Mineros players scored in double figures. Mineros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
