Fuerza Regia players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Panteras' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Brandon Paul (193-1991, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and the other American import forward Lewis Sullivan (201-1995, college: UAB, agency: BIG) who added 13 points during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese center Serigne Barro (208-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Tyler Cheese (193-1996, college: Akron) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Astros made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Astros had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican guard Walter Hodge (183-1986, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording 27 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-1993, college: Marist) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists for the winners. Venezuelan forward Michael Carrera (196-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Daishon Smith (185-1995, college: ULM) added 17 points in the effort for Diablos. Four Diablos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
