Best players of Mexican LMBPF round 1

Montserrat Aguilar (181-F-1998, agency: Daggers Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Estrellas Puebla and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 27-year old forward had the game-high 15 points adding seven rebounds for Estrellas in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Toritas (#5, 0-2) with 47-point margin 86-39. It allowed Estrellas to consolidate first place in the Mexican LMBPF. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Estrellas won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Aguilar just recently signed at Estrellas and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Aguilar has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 9.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 3.0spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Estrellas' star - Sandra Vargas. Vargas impressed basketball fans with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Aguilar she helped Estrellas Puebla with another comfortable win outscoring Toritas (0-2) 79-46. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Vargas is one of the most experienced players at Estrellas and similarly like Montserrat Aguilar has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Estrellas' star - international center Mariana Rodriguez (181-C-2001). Rodriguez scored 7 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Estrellas Puebla, helping her team with a 86-39 easy win against Toritas (#5, 0-2). Estrellas has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Rodriguez also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Rodriguez has a great season in Mexico. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 6.5ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 14.0rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 1.5apg (6th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
