It was a great evening for center Diana Puente (185-1993) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Dana Antillon (167-1997) helped adding 23 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Rachel Theriot (182-1994, college: Nebraska) with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Mineras are looking forward to face Toritas (#5) in Celaya in the next round. Dragonas will have a break next round.

Diana Puente accounted for 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Rosaura Guardiola (180-1991, agency: Daggers Sports) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds for Dragonas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The game in Celaya was also quite interesting. Mieleras (4-0) played at the court of Toritas (1-5). Mieleras defeated Toritas 72-58 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Abril Roldan who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Yesica Vallejo who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mieleras will meet at home Estrellas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
