Puente number one in Mexico LMBPF for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Center Diana Puente (185-C-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Mineras, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Dragonas (#4, 1-5) 84-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Mineras maintains the 3rd position in Mexican LMBPF. Mineras is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Puente just recently signed at Mineras, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Diana Puente has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 12.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 60.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Mineras' star - young Abdi Xicotencatl (165-PG-1998, agency: Daggers Sports). Xicotencatl had a very good evening with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course together with Puente she helped Mineras with another comfortable win outscoring Dragonas (1-5) 91-67. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Xicotencatl is one of the most experienced players at Mineras and similarly like Diana Puente has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Mineras' star - international guard Dana Antillon (167-PG-1997). Antillon scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was another key player of Mineras, helping her team with a 84-74 win against #4 ranked Dragonas in a game of the week. Mineras needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Antillon has a great season in Mexico. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (best scorer).
