This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 5th ranked Toritas (1-7) to third ranked Mineras (4-2) 72-71 on Saturday evening. Mineras forced 19 Toritas turnovers. American guard Adriana Chavez (170, college: St.Thomas, TX) fired 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Dana Antillon (167-1997) chipped in 19 points and 5 steals. Mineras' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Yesica Vallejo produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. Mineras have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-2 record having just two point less than leader Estrellas. Toritas lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost.
