Best players of Mexican LMBPF round 4

American Adriana Chavez (170-G) had a great game in the last round for Mineras and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The guard had the game-high 19 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Mineras in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Toritas (#5, 1-7) 72-71. Mineras maintains the 3rd position in Mexican LMBPF. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Mineras will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Chavez just recently signed at Mineras, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of St. Thomas, TX graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chavez is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 7.5rpg) and assists (9th best: 2.5apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Yesica Vallejo of Toritas. Vallejo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Toritas was edged by slightly higher-ranked Mineras (#3, 4-2) 72-71. Toritas are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Toritas managed to get this year. Vallejo is a newcomer at Toritas and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.8ppg (#5). She also registered 10.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Mineras' star - international guard Karla Martinez (175-G-2000). Martinez scored 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was another key player of Mineras, helping her team with a 62-39 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Toritas (#5, 1-7). Mineras needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Martinez has a great season in Mexico. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 1.5apg (5th best).
