Best players of Mexican CIBACOPA round 4 (by Hoops Agents)

American Sa'eed Nelson (188-PG-1998) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Frayles de Guasave and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 27-year old playmaker got a double-double of 19 points and 10 assists, while his team edged out Culiacan (#10, 1-3) 95-92. Frayles de Guasave is placed at 2nd position in Mexican CIBACOPA. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Frayles will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Nelson just recently signed at Frayles de Guasave, being already a very valuable addition to the team. The American University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Nelson is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.4ppg), assists (7th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 53.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Greg Whittington (205-PF-1993) of league's best team Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Whittington impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Halcones de Ciudad Obregon was edged by the lower-ranked Tijuana (#4, 4-3) 79-78. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Obregon still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 5-2 record. Whittington is one of the most experienced players at Obregon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#1). He also registered 6.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jordan Glynn (200-F-1989) of Toros Laguna (#3). Glynn scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Glynn's great performance the Toros lost 73-85 to the lower-ranked Hermosillo (#8, 2-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Toros needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Glynn has a great season in Mexico. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (4th best).
