Otago Nuggets (NBL) signed 31-year old American swingman Buay Tuach (198cm-84kg-1995, college: LMU, agency: Haylett Sports) for the upcoming 2026 season. He played last summer at Correcaminos in the Mexican LNBP. In 8 games, he had 3.4ppg and 1.5rpg. He also played for Tuatara earlier that season where in 22 NBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 4.8rpg, and 2.2apg.
In 2017, he was selected by the Long Island Nets (G-League) in the second round (30th overall) of the draft.
Tuach graduated from Loyola Marymount University and will be entering his tenth season in professional basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Tuach has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia, and North America). He has played professionally in Australia (Slammers), Austria (Gunners Oberwart), Germany, Greece (Ikaroi Trikala), the United Kingdom (Lions), and the NBA G League (Westchester Knicks).
Among many awards, his team was the regular season runner-up in the British BBL in 2020. Tuach was voted to the All-WCC Honorable Mention back in 2017. He also played for Northeast Community College for 2 years.
