Very significant was Mineras' (#2, 7-3) victory against 4th ranked Dragonas (1-7) 72-65. American Veronica Preciado (174-1997, college: CMU) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Adriana Chavez (170, college: St.Thomas, TX) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Paola Velazquez with 23 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mineras maintains second position with 7-3 record having just two point less than leader Mieleras. Dragonas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Mineras are looking forward to face Estrellas (#3) in Puebla in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dragonas will play on the road against Toritas in Celaya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 6 bottom-ranked Toritas were destroyed by Mieleras on the opponent's court 72-46.
