Best players of Mexican CIBACOPA round 8

American Brandon Porter (206-F-1999, agency: Starting 5) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Caballeros de Culiacan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 22 points adding eight rebounds for Culiacan in his team's victory, helping them to crush Hermosillo (#8, 4-6) with 16-point margin 95-79. Caballeros de Culiacan maintains the 11th position in Mexican CIBACOPA. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Culiacan have already lost 9 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Porter had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Caballeros de Culiacan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. He also recorded 3.5 assists per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Romeao Ferguson (196-G-1997) of Rayos de Hermosillo (#8). Ferguson scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Ferguson's great performance the Rayos de Hermosillo lost 79-95 to the lower-ranked Culiacan (#11, 3-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hermosillo ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ferguson could help Hermosillo to bring them higher in the standings. Ferguson has a very solid season. In 10 games in Mexico he scored 13.9ppg. He also has 5.1rpg and 3.3apg.
