Dorados dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ciudad's 34 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Dorados forced 20 Ciudad turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Ciudad helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Jaron Martin (178-1995, college: UC Irvine) helped adding 18 points. Dorados' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian forward Nikita Konstantynovskyi (208, college: Notre Dame) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and naturalized American guard Daniel Soto-Pozo (197-1991, college: HIU) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Dorados and five Ciudad players scored in double figures.

Soles made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Apaches outrebounded Soles 46-33 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican forward Miguel Simon (203-1994, college: ASA CC) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Gary Ricks-Mondragon (185-1991, college: Drake) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Four Soles players scored in double figures. American power forward Willie Reed (211-1990, college: St.Louis) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Apaches in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
