Best players of Mexican CIBACOPA round 11 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Naturalized Panamanian Shooting guard Gabriel Giron (192-SG-1988) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Toros Laguna and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 37-year old shooting guard had the game-high 24 points adding five rebounds and two assists for Toros in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Guaymas (#10, 4-11) 109-108. Toros is placed at 2nd position in Mexican CIBACOPA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Toros will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Giron had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Toros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Gabriel Giron averages this season 14.5ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Kiandre Gaddy (198-F-2001, agency: BIG) of Rayos de Hermosillo. Gaddy impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Rayos de Hermosillo lost that game 64-86 to league's leader Astros (#5, 8-0). This loss caused Hermosillo to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Gaddy is one of the most experienced players at Hermosillo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Amir Spears (190-PG-2001) of Ostioneros de Guaymas (#10). Spears showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. Despite Spears' great performance the Ostioneros de Guaymas lost 108-109 to the higher-ranked Toros (#2, 9-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Guaymas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Spears has individually a great season in Mexico. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (9th best) and assists with 4.7apg (9th best).
