Dorados forced 21 Apaches turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 33 personal fouls committed by Apaches helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and power forward Raphiael Putney (207-1990, college: UMass) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) responded with 31 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
