Apaches dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Dorados' 32. Apaches looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Dorados' players. 29 personal fouls committed by Dorados helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) helped adding 27 points. Five Apaches players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Jose Estrada (190-1994) with 25 points and American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
