Durrell Summers

Pioneros Del Avila (SPB) signed experienced 37-year-old USA-Mexican small forward Durrell Summers (196cm-93kg-1989, college: Michigan State). He just played at Paisas in the Colombian LBP league. In only one game, he recorded 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists last season.
In 2011, he was drafted by the Maine Red Claws (D-League) in the second round (8th overall).
He graduated from Michigan State and this will be his 15th season in pro basketball.
Summers is a highly experienced player, having played in fourteen different countries on four continents. He has played professionally in Argentina (Echague), Australia, Chile (CD Universidad de Concepcion, Osorno, and Puerto Montt), Colombia, Finland (Karhubasket), France, Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Hungary, Israel, Mexico (Dorados, Caballeros de Culiacan, Mineros, and Indomables), Uruguay (Hebraica), Venezuela (Broncos, Brillantes, Gladiadores, and Centauros), NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm), and Mongolia (Apes and Umnugovi).
He won the Venezuelan SPB championship title in 2024. He was voted to Latinbasket.com Mexican LNBP All-Domestic Players Team in 2022.
