They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Los Mochis. Angeles at the other side keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Toros. Guaymas is looking forward to face higher ranked Frayles (#3) in Guasave in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Angeles will play on the road against the league's second-placed Obregon having rather not much hope for a victory.

Los Mochis will play against Tijuana and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 16: Hermosillo lost to Toros on the opponent's court 106-120. Culiacan unfortunately lost to Astros in a home game 75-92. Hermosillo recorded a loss to Toros on the road 75-89. Culiacan was crushed by Astros on its own court 79-102. Los Mochis were smashed by Frayles in Guasave 116-95. Culiacan lost to Obregon at home 137-143. Obregon managed to outperform Culiacan on the opponent's court 82-78.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points and 14 rebounds by Torren Jones of Culiacan.




Toros - Hermosillo 120-106

Rather expected game in Nuevo Laredo where 9th ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (9-15) was defeated by sixth ranked Toros (12-12) 120-106 on Tuesday. Toros made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-1989, college: SF Austin) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Toros' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
