Experienced American Justin Moss (203-F/C-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Halcones de Ciudad Obregon and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 32-year old power forward had a double-double of 33 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Angeles (#5, 13-13) 111-96. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon maintains the 2nd position in Mexican CIBACOPA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Obregon will need more victories to improve their 17-7 record. Moss just recently signed at Halcones de Ciudad Obregon, being already a very valuable addition to the team. The University of Buffalo graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moss is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.0ppg) and averages solid 60.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Roddy Peters (193-PG-1995) of Caballeros de Culiacan. Peters impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 37 points and 12 assists. Of course Caballeros de Culiacan cruised to a 110-103 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Mazatlan (#11, 5-19). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Culiacan keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-19 record. Peters is one of the most experienced players at Culiacan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Culiacan's star - American Torren Jones (206-F/C-1994). Jones scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was another key player of Caballeros de Culiacan, helping his team with a 101-92 win against slightly lower-ranked Mazatlan (#11, 5-19). The chances of Caballeros de Culiacan not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 19 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jones could try to bring Culiacan's a little bit higher in the standings. Jones has individually a great season in Mexico. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (2nd best) and assists with 1.4apg (9th best).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
