Perry's 24 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

31-year old American forward Chris Perry (203-F-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Astros de Jalisco and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had the game-high 24 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Astros in his team's victory, helping them to crush Obregon (#2, 17-9) with 22-point margin 105-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Astros to consolidate first place in the Mexican league. Astros has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 21-1. Perry just recently signed at Astros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Chris Perry averages this season 13.6ppg and 5.7rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Arnett Moultrie (208-C-1990) of Pioneros de Los Mochis. He is American center in his first season at Los Mochis. In the last game Moultrie recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Pioneros Los Mochis to edge slightly lower-ranked Guaymas (#8, 10-16) by 5 points 115-110. Los Mochis' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Moultrie is one of the most experienced players at Los Mochis and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.6ppg (#4). He also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Amir Spears (190-PG-2001) of Ostioneros de Guaymas (#8). Spears got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. Despite Spears' great performance the Ostioneros de Guaymas lost 110-115 to slightly higher-ranked Los Mochis (#7, 13-13). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Guaymas not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 16 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Spears could try to bring Guaymas' a little bit higher in the standings. Spears has individually a great season in Mexico. After 26 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.7apg (9th best).
