Green number one in Mexican LNBPF for round 6

American Forward Zaay Green (188-F-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Adelitas de Chihuahua, receiving a Hoops Agents LNBPF Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, five rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Freseras (#7, 2-10) with 30-point margin 91-61. Adelitas maintains the 2nd position in Mexican LNBPF. They are still close to the very top. Adelitas would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Green had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. She just recently signed at Adelitas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former The University of Alabama star has very solid stats this year. Green is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.0ppg), assists (2nd best: 5.3apg) and averages impressive 56.5% FGP and 42.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) of El Calor. Kelley had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as El Calor lost that game 77-84 to slightly higher-ranked Fuerza Regia (#3, 10-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. El Calor still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 7-5 record is not bad at all. Kelley is one of the most experienced players at El Calor and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dominican Rep. forward Esmery Martinez (188-F-2000) of league's top team Panteras de Aguascalientes. Martinez scored 18 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of Panteras, leading her team to a 110-65 easy win against the lower-ranked Abejas (#6, 2-10). Panteras have amazing season winning all 12 games without a single defeat. Martinez turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Martinez has a great season in Mexico. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (2nd best).
