Gaddy number one in Mexico CIBACOPA for round 19

American Forward Kiandre Gaddy (198-F-2001, agency: BIG) had a great game in the last round for Rayos de Hermosillo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (50 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Los Mochis (#7, 13-15) with 16-point margin 119-103. Rayos de Hermosillo maintains the 8th position in Mexican CIBACOPA. Hermosillo is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-18 record. In the team's last game Gaddy had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Rayos de Hermosillo, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Tarleton State University star has very solid stats this year. Gaddy is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 7.1rpg) and averages impressive 64.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Nojel Eastern (198-G-1999) of Ostioneros de Guaymas. Eastern had a very good evening with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Ostioneros de Guaymas lost that game 105-115 to the higher-ranked Obregon (#2, 18-10). Guaymas is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-17 record. Eastern is one of the most experienced players at Guaymas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Nigerian forward Chuba Ohams (206-F-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) of Angeles de Ciudad de Mexico (#3). Ohams scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Angeles, leading his team to a 94-85 win against slightly lower-ranked Tijuana (#5, 16-14). Angeles needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 13 lost games. Ohams has a great season in Mexico. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (2nd best).
