Jones' 20 points and 9 rebounds give her LNBPF Player of the Week award

26-year old American guard Morgan Jones (188-G-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Fuerza Regia Femenil and receives a Hoops Agents LNBPF Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had the game-high 20 points adding nine rebounds and seven assists for Fuerza Regia in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Freseras (#6, 4-12) with 76-point margin 135-59. Fuerza Regia maintains the 2nd position in Mexican league. They are still close to the very top. Fuerza Regia would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 13-3 record. Jones just recently signed at Fuerza Regia, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.0ppg), rebounds (8th best: 3.9rpg), assists (7th best: 2.2apg) and averages solid 53.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jannon Otto (183-G-1997) of Correcaminos. She is American-Ugandan guard in her first season at Correcaminos. In the last game Otto recorded an impressive 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course Correcaminos cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Abejas (#8, 3-13). Correcaminos' 7th position in the standings has not changed. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Correcaminos managed to get this year. Otto is one of the most experienced players at Correcaminos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Fuerza Regia's star - guard Paulina Rodriguez (180-G-1997). Rodriguez scored 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was another key player of Fuerza Regia Femenil, helping her team with a 135-59 easy win against the lower-ranked Freseras (#6, 4-12). Fuerza Regia is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 13-3 record is not that bad... Rodriguez has a very solid season. In 14 games in Mexico she scored 4.1ppg.
