Moultrie number one in Mexico CIBACOPA for round 22

American Center Arnett Moultrie (208-C-1990) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pioneros de Los Mochis, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 35-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, nine rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Toros (#7, 14-18) 108-96. Pioneros Los Mochis maintains the 6th position in Mexican CIBACOPA. Los Mochis is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-15 record. Moultrie just recently signed at Pioneros Los Mochis, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Mississippi State University star has very solid stats this year. Moultrie is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.6rpg) and averages impressive 63.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Avry Holmes (185-G-1994) of Toros Laguna. Holmes had a very good evening with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Toros lost that game 96-108 to slightly higher-ranked Los Mochis (#6, 15-15). Toros is still in a red zone at 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 14-18 record. Holmes is one of the most experienced players at Toros and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard RJ Felton (190-G-2002, agency: MSG) of Rayos de Hermosillo (#9). Felton showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Felton's great performance the Rayos de Hermosillo lost 87-91 to Culiacan (14-20). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hermosillo ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 20 games, recording just fourteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Felton could help Hermosillo to bring them higher in the standings. Felton has a very solid season. In 8 games in Mexico he scored 20.1ppg. He also has 6.3rpg, a FGP of 55.6% and 3PT: 43.3%.
