Best players of Mexican CIBACOPA round 23 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Roddy Peters (193-PG-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Caballeros de Culiacan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 30-year old playmaker got a double-double of 32 points and 14 assists, while his team beat Los Mochis (#7, 15-17) 89-82. Caballeros de Culiacan is placed at 6th position in Mexican CIBACOPA. Culiacan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 16-20 record. In the team's last game Peters had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Caballeros de Culiacan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Nicholls State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Peters is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 8.0apg) and averages solid 59.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Kiandre Gaddy (198-F-2001, agency: BIG) of Rayos de Hermosillo. Gaddy impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Rayos de Hermosillo was edged by the higher-ranked Tijuana (#5, 17-17) 108-104. Hermosillo is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 15-21 record. Gaddy is one of the most experienced players at Hermosillo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Culiacan's star - American Torren Jones (206-F/C-1994). Jones scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Caballeros de Culiacan, helping his team with a 89-82 win against slightly lower-ranked Los Mochis (#7, 15-17). The chances of Caballeros de Culiacan ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 20 games, recording just sixteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jones could help Culiacan to bring them higher in the standings. Jones has a great season in Mexico. After 35 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (6th best), rebounds with 8.3rpg (2nd best) and assists with 1.4apg (7th best).
