Peters' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

30-year old American point guard Roddy Peters (193-PG-1995) had a great game in the last round for Caballeros de Culiacan and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
He got a double-double of 21 points and 12 assists, while his team beat Toros (#8, 16-20) 110-100. Caballeros de Culiacan maintains the 6th position in Mexican league. Culiacan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 17-21 record. Peters just recently signed at Caballeros de Culiacan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Nicholls State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Peters is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 8.0apg) and averages solid 58.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Torren Jones (206-F/C-1994). He is American forward in his first season at Culiacan. In the last game Jones recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Caballeros de Culiacan lost that game 89-102 to slightly lower-ranked Toros (#8, 16-20). Caballeros de Culiacan managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 17-21 record. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Caballeros de Culiacan and similarly like Roddy Peters has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.1ppg (#6). He also registered 8.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jimond Ivey (196-G-1996) of Ostioneros de Guaymas (#10). Ivey got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and four assists. Despite Ivey's great performance the Ostioneros de Guaymas lost 100-104 to slightly higher-ranked Hermosillo (#9, 16-22). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Guaymas ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 21 games, recording just fifteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ivey could help Guaymas to bring them higher in the standings. Ivey has a very solid season. In 10 games in Mexico he scored 21.8ppg. He also has 4.5rpg, 4.5apg and a FGP of 73.0%.
