Lewis erupts for 30 as Aguascalientes crush Capitalinas to claim LNBP women's crown

Panteras de Aguascalientes are the 2026 Liga Caliente.mx LNBP Femenil champions, blowing out Capitalinas de la Ciudad de Mexico 125-88 in a decisive Game 5 at the Auditorio Hermanos Carreon to win the title in front of their home crowd.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (180-F-1993, college: UConn) was unstoppable in the clincher, pouring in a game-high 30 points on 7-of-14 from three-point range with seven rebounds, five assists, and two blocks. But it was Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-G-1995, college: Temple) named Season MVP who orchestrated the rout, finishing with 29 points on a scorching 9-of-11 from two-point range (76.9% overall) and a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line, adding seven assists.
The Panteras turned the game into a coronation in the third quarter, exploding for 42 points to break a competitive contest wide open. After leading 54-45 at halftime, Aguascalientes detonated the decisive 42-21 third-quarter run that effectively ended the series. They shot a blistering 56.6 percent from the field and 70.5 percent from two-point range, with five players reaching double figures.
Dyaisha Fair (165-PG-2001, college: Syracuse) posted a near triple-double with 15 points, nine rebounds, and a game-high nine assists, while Esmery Martinez (188-F-2000, college: Arizona) (15 points, perfect 6-of-6 from two) and Stephanie Kostowicz (190-F/C-1995, college: Milwaukee) (15 points, game-high 11 rebounds) rounded out a balanced attack. Samantha Fuehring (191-C-1997, college: Louisville) added 13 off the bench.
For Capitalinas, Zaay Green (188-F-2000, college: Alabama) was magnificent in defeat with 30 points (6-of-8 from three) and 11 assists, but received little support. Alisia Jenkins (186-F-1994, college: S.Florida) added 12 and Danielle Adams (185-C-1989, college: Texas A&M) had 11, but the visitors shot just 43 percent from the field and were buried by Aguascalientes' third-quarter avalanche.
