Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Leones defeated Indigenas in Managua 72-62. Leones forced 19 Indigenas turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican swingman Xavier Zambrana (193-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The former international center Roger Munoz (208-84) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Leones' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-87, college: Appalachian St.) answered with 19 points (made all of his eight free throws) for Indigenas. Indigenas will play next round against Jinotega trying to get back on the winning streak. Leones will try to continue on its current victory against Jass. It will be extra interesting game as Jass is their local rival from Managua.
Costa Caribe (0-1) recorded a loss in Managua. Hosts were defeated by Jass (1-1) 68-59. Jose Ortiz stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Ervin Morgan chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side the former international forward Jensen Campbell (198-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Costa Caribe's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jass' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Managua Leones.
The game in Esteli was also quite interesting. Jinotega (0-1) played at the court of Real Esteli (1-0). Real Esteli managed to secure a 7-point victory 82-75 on Saturday. Jared Ruiz nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Owens Kelly came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for Jinotega in the defeat. Jinotega's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Real Esteli will meet Costa Caribe (#4) in the next round. Jinotega will play against Indigenas in Matagalpa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Costa Caribe - Jass 59-68

Costa Caribe (0-1) recorded a loss in Managua. Hosts were defeated by Jass (1-1) 68-59. Strangely Costa Caribe outrebounded Jass 56-43 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Jose Ortiz stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Ervin Morgan chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side the former international forward Jensen Campbell (198-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and American Timothy Jackson (198-93, college: Lindenwood-Bellev.) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Costa Caribe's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
