Real Esteli - Indigenas 82-77 Undefeated leader Real Esteli delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Indigenas (2-6) 82-77. Real Esteli shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-92) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. American Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit Mercy) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Real Esteli players scored in double figures. Real Esteli's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-87, college: Appalachian St.) answered with 30 points and 8 rebounds and Dominican Miguel Evangelista (-91) added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Indigenas. Real Esteli (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Indigenas lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fifth position with six games lost. Jinotega was defeated by Jass in a tough game in Managua 61-70. Jass looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Panamanian Jose Montenegro (183-98) who scored 28 points and 9 assists. South African forward Pieter Prinsloo (208-92, college: Marist, agency: Promo Sport ID) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Owens Kelly who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Dalton Cacho (190-93) added 7 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Jass moved-up to fourth place. Jinotega at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They also forced 20 Costa Caribe turnovers and outrebounded them 56-41 including 19 on the offensive glass. Jinotega looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Owens Kelly stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 26 rebounds for the winners and Puerto Rican guard Evander Ortiz (178-97, college: PR-Bayamon) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Tyquan Scott (201, college: Herkimer County) with 27 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Jensen Campbell (198-98) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Four Costa Caribe players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jinotega maintains third place with 6-3 record having just one point less than leader Real Esteli. Costa Caribe lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost.
