The round 20 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Leader San Isidro delivered the sixteenth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 18th ranked Nicaragua U16 (3-14) 71-42. San Isidro forced 20 Nicaragua U16 turnovers and outrebounded them 54-34 including a 25-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international center Roger Munoz (208-84, college: Trinity Valley) who scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. point guard Francisco Garth (-99) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. San Isidro's coach Angel Mallona felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Angel Fernandez-Alvarado produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the hosts. San Isidro (16-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Nicaragua U16 lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth place with 14 games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Matagalpa. Local Indigenas (14-2) outscored 11th ranked Leon (6-9) 128-61. Guard Kevin Andino orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Raul Mendoza contributed with 16 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. Forward Sergio Sobalvarro replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Leon. Indigenas maintains fourth position with 14-2 record. Leon lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with nine games lost.

Rest of the games of round 20 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Real Esteli crushed Chinandega in a road game 95-53. Juigalpa was beaten by Costa Caribe at home 55-69. Leones destroyed Nandaime on the opponent's court 117-57. Carazo was outscored by Jinotega in a home game 60-93.
The best stats of 20th round was 23 points and 5 rebounds by Jose Reyes of Real Esteli.



Indigenas - Leon 128-61

The game with biggest result difference took place in Matagalpa. Local Indigenas (14-2) outscored 11th ranked Leon (6-9) 128-61. Indigenas dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Leon's 48. Indigenas forced 20 Leon turnovers and outrebounded them 74-35 including a 31-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Kevin Andino orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Raul Mendoza (190-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. Five Indigenas players scored in double figures. Forward Sergio Sobalvarro replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Ronaldo Valverde added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Leon. Indigenas maintains fourth position with 14-2 record. Leon lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with nine games lost.

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Chinandega (6-11) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Real Esteli (12-5) 95-53. Real Esteli dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Chinandega's 20. Real Esteli forced 24 Chinandega turnovers and outrebounded them 47-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Jose Reyes orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Dalton Cacho (190-93) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Real Esteli players scored in double figures. Forward Ricardo Vega-Zamora replied with 13 points and power forward Kelvin Urtecho-Espinoza added 4 points in the effort for Chinandega. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Esteli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-5 record. Chinandega lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Boaco.

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Costa Caribe (15-3) defeated on the road 9th ranked Juigalpa (8-9) 69-55. Fritz Cox orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 5 assists. Kerry Clair contributed with 6 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Costa Caribe's coach Chester Linarte used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Ricardo Diaz replied with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Runnel Baez added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Juigalpa. Costa Caribe have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-3 record behind leader San Isidro. Juigalpa at the other side keeps the ninth place with nine games lost.

The former international swingman Jose Perez (180-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 4 steals. Point guard Kevin Alvarado contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners.
