LSB Round 12: Leon is defeated by Jinotega- October 11, 2020
What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.
Rivas - Chinandega 54-60 Bottom-ranked Chinandega managed to get a second victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak. This time they won against seventh-ranked Rivas 60-54. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by Marcus Faison (196-94, college: Salem St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds and center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) supported him with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) did not help to save the game for Rivas. Guard B.J. Glasford (193-95, college: Stetson, agency: Green Sports Management) added 10 points and 7 rebounds. Rivas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chinandega maintains ninth position with 2-9 record. Rivas at the other side keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Chinandega will play against higher ranked Leones (#5) in Managua in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
