What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Leon was defeated by Jinotega in a tough game at home 72-79. Jinotega outrebounded Leon 53-41 including 36 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) who added 19 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Leon at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Jinotega are looking forward to face league's leader Real Esteli at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leon will play against Costa Caribe in Managua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Chinandega managed to get a second victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak. This time they won against seventh-ranked Rivas 60-54. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by Marcus Faison (196-94, college: Salem St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds and Marc Montavious supported him with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) did not help to save the game for Rivas. Rivas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chinandega maintains ninth position with 2-9 record. Rivas at the other side keep the seventh place with ten games lost. Chinandega will play against higher ranked Leones (#5) in Managua in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rivas will play at home against Indigenas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
