Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Real Esteli (13-3) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Jinotega (10-7) 90-88. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Real Esteli. Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. American center Dominic Woodson (211-95, college: Tennessee) contributed with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Real Esteli. Real Esteli's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Jinotega moved-up to third place. Real Esteli at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Jinotega are looking forward to face Indigenas (#6) in Matagalpa in the next round. Real Esteli will have a break next round.

Marcus Faison (196-94, college: Salem St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Marc Montavious chipped in 10 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chinandega maintains ninth place with 3-14 record. Rivas at the other side keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Chinandega will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rivas will play against Bufalos (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
