He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Smart also represented Saint Vincent at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) six years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 1.3ppg, 1.3rpg. He is quite experienced player. Smart's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in five different countries. Smart tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally also in Canada (Windsor Express), Romania (Olimpic), Saudi Arabia (Al Salam) and Spain (Santfeliuenc, Benidorm and AEC Collblanc). The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the El Salvador Liga Mayor Apertura Semifinals in 2019. Smart was voted to Latinbasket.com All-El Salvador Liga Mayor Torneo Clausura 2nd Team in 2019. He attended McCook Community College until 2013 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
