The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Leones MGA in Managua on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Real Esteli 88-80. Real Esteli forced 21 Leones MGA turnovers and had a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Leones MGA helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Puerto Rican point guard Christian Lopez (183-95) replied with 32 points for Indigenas. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
