Best players of Nicaraguan LSB round 5

Jeremy Agosto (F) had a very impressive game in the last round for Cacique D. and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The forward had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and six assists for Cacique D. in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Brumas (#4, 2-1) 82-80. Cacique D. is placed at 6th position in Nicaraguan LSB. Cacique D. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Agosto turned to be Cacique D.'s top player in his first season with the team. Agosto has impressive league stats. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American power forward Timothy Simmons (195-PF-92) of Brumas. Simmons impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Brumas was edged by slightly lower-ranked Cacique D. (#6, 2-2) 82-80. This loss caused Brumas to drop to 4th position in the standings. His team's 2-1 record is not bad at all. Simmons is a newcomer at Brumas and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 7.7rpg and 5.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Miguel Almonte (211-C-91) of Leon (#5). Almonte scored 25 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Leon, leading his team to a 85-79 win against slightly lower-ranked Rivas (#7, 1-2). Leon needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Almonte has a great season in Nicaragua. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.0rpg (3rd best).
