Talented Puerto Rican Ismael Cruz (190-G-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Real Esteli and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 21-year old guard had a double-double of 36 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team beat Caribbean Coast (#6, 4-7) 84-78. It allowed Real Esteli to consolidate first place in the Nicaraguan LSB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Real Esteli still have not lost a single game, getting all 11 victories. In the team's last game Cruz had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Real Esteli's top player in his first season with the team. Indian Hills Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cruz is in league's top in points (2nd best: 28.2ppg), assists (4th best: 5.2apg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 52.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was guard Deikel Sanchez (G) of Occidentales. Sanchez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for Occidentales to edge slightly lower-ranked Rivas (#10, 1-8) by 2 points 91-89. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Occidentales left the very bottom place moving slightly to 9th position. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Occidentales managed to get this year. Sanchez is a newcomer at Occidentales and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.4ppg (#8). He also registered 9.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Guyanese Anthony Moe (206-C-1990) of second-ranked Jaguares. Moe scored 28 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Jaguares, leading his team to a 88-83 win against the lower-ranked Brumas (#5, 5-5). Many experts and fans count Jaguares as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 9 victories and only one lost game. Moe has a great season in Nicaragua. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.6rpg (6th best). He also has 1.2bpg and FGP: 54.4%.
