LSB Round 18: Top-ranked Real Esteli wins another game

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

LSB top team - Real Esteli (17-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Rivas (2-13) 109-62. Real Esteli looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Rivas' players. It was a good game for Puerto Rican guard Ismael Cruz (190-2001, college: Indian Hills) who led his team to a victory with 44 points (!!!). Puerto Rican guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. American Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for Rivas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Esteli have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Rivas lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost.
The game in Managua was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers UNI Basket (10-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Leones MGA (9-8). Leones MGA defeated UNI Basket 61-48. American forward Josmel Martinez (198, college: Broward CC) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Luis Gonzalez chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was Puerto Rican point guard Luis Rivera (180-1998) with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Leones MGA maintains fifth position with 9-8 record. UNI Basket at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost.
