Real Esteli (3-1) recorded its first loss in Managua on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Leones (2-1) 85-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Real Esteli. Leones made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American guard Kaleb Hunter (193-1998, college: UNCG) fired 31 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Lemmie Howard (201-1998, college: UTPB) chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican Christopher Gaston (201-1989, college: Fordham) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Leones moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Jaguares. Real Esteli at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Leon.

Brumas' coach Victor Del Barba felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kelvin Rivera (168-1996, college: RU Camden) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds for Rivas. Brumas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with UNI Basket.
