Rapalo number one in Nicaragua LSBF for round 14- September 29, 2023
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, six rebounds and nine assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush UNI (#5, 2-12) with 17-point margin 78-61. Real Esteli maintains the 3rd position in Nicaraguan LSBF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Real Esteli will need more victories to improve their 9-4 record. In the team's last game Rapalo had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. She turned to be Real Esteli's top player in her first season with the team. Nelly Rapalo has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 15.0ppg) and averages impressive 2.2spg. The second best player in last round's games was young American Jocelyn Taylor (183-G-1997) of Leonas. Taylor had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Leonas lost that game 74-81 to the higher-ranked Tipitapa (#1, 10-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Leonas still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Leonas managed to get this year. Taylor is a newcomer at Leonas, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#3). She also registered 8.7 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Clenia Salazar (F-1987) of league's top team Tipitapa. Salazar scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was a key player of Tipitapa, leading her team to a 81-74 win against #4 ranked Leonas. Tipitapa confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Salazar has a great season in Nicaragua. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.6ppg (4th best), rebounds with 11.6rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.3apg (5th best). We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
