Jaguares - Real Esteli 70-86

Real Esteli outrebounded Jaguares 53-32 including a 20-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jade Compton (178, college: Presbyterian) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Honduran forward Nelly Rapalo (173-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Real Esteli players scored in double figures. American swingman DAsia Chambers (182-1992, college: Slippery Rock) produced 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard Brittany Byrd (176-1997, college: UIC) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Tipitapa forced 23 Leonas turnovers and outrebounded them 51-39 including 37 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Tiffany Reynolds (175, college: Lakehead) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. The former international forward Shannen Peralta (-2003) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jocelyn Taylor (183-1997, college: SEMO) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Jessica Martino (175-2000, college: Delaware St.) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Leonas. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
