Bottom-ranked Tigres managed to get a third victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time they won against ninth-ranked Rivas 99-91. Tigres made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Rivas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American-Puerto Rican Antonio Gordon (206-2001, college: Oklah.Christian) orchestrated the victory by scoring 47 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Cuban Emmanuel Calderon (198-1998) contributed with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Felix Ramos (-2003) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for Rivas. Tigres (3-18) moved-up to ninth place. Rivas lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game between sixth ranked Jaguares (10-12) and 7th ranked UNI Basket (6-15) in Managua ended with biggest points difference. Jaguares beat guests from 84-75. American-Puerto Rican center Chris Brady (208-1995, college: Monmouth) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Austin Wrighten chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American-Puerto Rican guard Robert Nieves (186-1999, college: Graceland) responded with 27 points and 5 assists. Jaguares maintains sixth position with 10-12 record. UNI Basket at the other side keeps the seventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Indigenas. Jaguares' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Managua to the arena .

In the last game of round 26 Leon was beaten by Real Esteli on the road 95-89.




Real Esteli - Leon 95-89

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Real Esteli (16-6) beat at home 5th ranked Leon (14-7) 95-89. Real Esteli players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international swingman Jared Ruiz (188-1992) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican Christopher Gaston (201-1989, college: Fordham) chipped in 6 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Real Esteli's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Dominican Xavier de la Rosa (196-1991) responded with 27 points and 5 assists and Dominican Miguel Almonte (200-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Real Esteli maintains third position with 16-6 record having just two points less than leader Caribbean Coast. Leon at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Real Esteli will play against Leones (#4) in Managua in the next round. Leon will have a break next round.
