Dominican Rep. Shooting guard Xavier de la Rosa (196-SG-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for UNAN de Leon, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, six rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Rivas (#10, 2-23) with 68-point margin 136-68. Leon maintains the 4th position in Nicaraguan LSB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Leon will need more victories to improve their 17-8 record. In the team's last game de la Rosa had a remarkable 92.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Leon's top player in his first season with the team. Xavier de la Rosa has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.7ppg), assists (6th best: 4.7apg) and averages impressive 59.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Kaleb Hunter (193-G-1998) of Leones ALMA de Managua. Hunter had a very good evening with a double-double of 41 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Leones lost that game 80-85 to slightly lower-ranked UNI Basket (#7, 8-18). Leones managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 16-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hunter is a newcomer at Leones, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 7.6rpg and 3.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tyler Morman (206-F-1997) of Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (#7). Morman scored 23 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of UNI Basket, leading his team to a 85-80 win against slightly higher-ranked Leones (#5, 16-9). The chances of UNI Basket not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 18 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Morman could try to bring UNI Basket's a little bit higher in the standings. Morman has individually a great season in Nicaragua. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.3rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 51.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Robert Nieves (186-G-1999) of UNI Basket - 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
