Worth to mention a great performance of American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international Kevin Andino (186-2002) contributed with 27 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. American forward Tyler Morman (206-1997, college: Southern Miss) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American-Puerto Rican guard Robert Nieves (186-1999, college: Graceland) added 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for UNI Basket. They outrebounded Indigenas 40-29 including a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) fired 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican power forward Owens Perez (206-1992) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Canadian swingman Zekiah Owens (197-1998, college: AIC) produced 32 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and American guard Tylan Dean (185-1999, college: Rogers St.) added 22 points and 4 steals (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
