The most surprising game was the first loss of Real Esteli (4-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by thirteenth ranked Jass (3-3) 62-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Real Esteli. 27 personal fouls committed by Real Esteli helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Michael Lampson stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and Sergio Tenorio chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Deo Downs (-2006) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Real Esteli's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: Bonanza was destroyed by UNAN de on the opponent's court 77-56. Winless Leon unfortunately lost to Sebaco in a home game 83-98. Tigres recorded a loss to Carazo on the road 67-72. Indigenas crushed Leones on its own court 99-76.
