Deo Downs was the second best scorer of the day in the world with the 45 points he had in Nicaragua.

This was an impressive game for Deo Downs (F-2006) as the XVII year old forward had 45 points when his team the Real Esteli beat the Leon 114 to 98. He was the second highest scoring player of that day in the world. Downs also added 7 rebounds and 5 assists that evening. He is the 4th best scorer in the league.
He has been a member of the Nicaraguan international program for some years. Downs was called the Nicaraguan Senior National Team this year and for the Under 22 National Team last year.
His team made it the LSB Semifinals in 2023.
