Valdivia's double-double lands him TBN Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Carlos Valdivia had an amazing evening in the last round for Leon and receives a Hoops Agents TBN Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 35 points and 11 rebounds, while his team lost the game against San Isidro (#13, 6-8) 86-94. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Leon maintains the 21th position in Nicaraguan TBN. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 14 games and recorded no victories. Valdivia just recently signed at Leon, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Valdivia has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.4ppg. Valdivia is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 11.1rpg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 56.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dwight Real (PF-1997) of San Isidro. He is former international forward in his first season at San Isidro. In the last game Real recorded an impressive 34 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course San Isidro cruised to a 94-86 relatively comfortable win over Leon (#21, 0-14). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. San Isidro dropped in the standings to 13th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Real is one of the most experienced players at San Isidro and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Jensen Campbell (198-C/F-1998) of Real Esteli (#9). Campbell scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of Real Esteli, leading his team to a 91-88 win against the lower-ranked Bonanza (#18, 4-9). Real Esteli needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Campbell has a very solid season. In 3 games in Nicaragua he scored 23.0ppg.
