The former international center Bartel Lopez (213-1989) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Riberto Leyva (189-1999, college: ASA Miami) replied with 10 points and 5 assists for Leones. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones will play next round against Brumas trying to get back on the winning streak. Real Esteli will try to continue on its current victory against Indigenas in Matagalpa.
UNAN de recorded a loss in Managua. Visitors were defeated by Costa Caribe 80-72. Very important is a home loss of Tigres against UNI Basket on Thursday night. Host Tigres were defeated by UNI Basket in a tough game in Corinto 76-83. Tigres will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 2 winless Tigres were smashed by Costa Caribe on the road 88-69. Brumas lost to undefeated Jaguares on its own court 84-91.
